Meet Huck! He’s a 3 year old McNab mix who’s searching for his furever home! He is a very sweet fellow – and enjoys playing with other dogs and children. Huck’s obedience skills are wonderful – he likes taking long walks and hiking in the woods. Since he has excellent recall, we do a lot of walking off-leash – but, he does walk very nicely on his leash when needed. He plays nicely with everyone – kids and all dogs plus he takes orders from the resident alpha female Border Collie. Huck pretty much just goes with the flow (a nice quality!!). He also loves going for rides in the car and he’s crate trained.As I mentioned earlier, Huck’s obedience skills are superb! Also, he is between a medium and high energy dog. Huck needs lots of daily exercise, but will relax and chill along with the others. His previous family needed to surrender him since they had limited time for training and caring for him, in general.Huck would do best in a home where he is not left home alone all day – a retired person/couple, stay at home mom or work from home would be best. Huck is crate trained and will rest comfortably in his crate for 3-4 hours.If you’d like to see a video of Huck, I am able to email it to you – just provide me with your email address!
|Personality:||Goofy, Athletic, Intelligent, Personality!, Gentle|
|Activity Level:||High energy! Ready for anything, anytime. Enjoys endurance hiking, biking, whatever.|
|Training Level:||Advanced (ex. “Stop”, “Speak”, “Rollover”)|
|Reason for Rehoming:||
My facility is a canine rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming organization. Huck’s previous owners could no longer care for him.
|Preferences for New Home:||
Huck’s best fit would be with retired, stay at home mom/dad, work from home parents. He needs a lot of daily exercise and mental stimulation – but when it’s time to rest, he goes with the flow. Also, his adoptive family would need to continue to provide his high-quality diet and supplements.
Huck’s new home would be required to provide a high-quality diet and supplements as well as appropriate veterinary care.
